Crackerjackpot Terms, Conditions & Gaming Guide
1. New membership players and purchasers of one-off tickets will be sent a unique draw number(s) created by secure Gambling Commission approved random number generating software.
2. All entries into the weekly draw cost £1 regardless of the method of payment. Any discounted offers or limited–time promotions will be funded by the profits of Crackerjackpot Ltd.
3. All regular membership players with a minimum balance of £1 and any player who has purchased a one-off ticket for an accompanying draw will be entered into the weekly draw using their assigned unique draw number(s).
4. The draw will take place each Friday, unless prevented by unavoidable delays.
5. Regular membership players only: players who pay monthly will pay £4.34 per month, per entry. This includes 34p to accumulate and fund the fifth week in five-week months.
6. Regular membership players only: gambling using credit is not legal in Great Britain, where Crackerjackpot is licenced. Credit cards cannot be accepted as a method of payment. No player will enter the weekly draw without sufficient funds available or a one-off ticket purchase. If you miss a draw, you will never owe Crackerjackpot money.
7. Regular membership players only: winners are automatically notified and are sent a prize cheque within one week of the draw taking place. The validity of a prize is 12-months. It is the players responsibility to advise Crackerjackpot about any cheques that need to be re-issued or are not received before the expiry of the validity period.
8. One-off / shop ticket players only: winners are required to notify Crackerjackpot of their win. The winner can claim their prize by contacting Crackerjackpot or visiting the store with their winning ticket. No prizes will be paid out where a ticket cannot be produced. The validity of a prize is 12-months from the draw date listed on the ticket. It is the players responsibility to claim their prize and provide required evidence before the expiry of the validity period.
9. Weekly winning numbers, along with surname and location, are published in the local press subject to availability and on this website. They are also available from the Crackerjackpot office.
10. In compliance with LCCP and PCI DSS, and other regulations, details captured in relation to a ticket purchase will be retained for a minimum period of three years following your final payment, whenever that might occur, for all transactions.
11. Pre-paid customer funds are held in a separate non-trading bank account. This is rated as ‘Not protected – Segregation of customer funds’ under the Gambling Commission’s rating system.
12. Crackerjackpot complies with all legislation, regulations and laws in relation to gambling, advertising and data protection. This includes PCI DSS regulations and Data Protection Act requirements. We aim to take every measure to protect your personal data. Members accept that Crackerjackpot cannot accept liability for loss, delays or theft of any communication sent by post or email or for any delays in the banking system.
13. Members can cancel at any time. Cancellations received on a Thursday or Friday may not be actioned until after the weekly draw. If you pay by direct debit, cheque or debit card, you may cancel via email, post or by telephone. Please contact the Crackerjackpot office if you need further assistance. Players with online accounts can put a temporary pause on payments by logging into their account.
14. Where members cancel with a balance on their account, we will, subject to Clause 13, refund your full balance upon request. Please note, this may take up to seven working days.
15. We reserve the right not to accept an application or purchase, or to cancel an existing membership(s) at our absolute discretion. Any such rejection or cancellation may be reconsidered on submission of a written appeal to the lottery manager within seven days. The decision of the Lottery Manager will be final.
16. It is the responsibility of the player to advise us of any change of address, or any other details deemed necessary.
17. For any direct debit changes, we will notify you a minimum of10 working days prior to the change, as stated in the Direct Debit Guarantee.
18. Players who join online will automatically have access to an online account where they can manage their details and play. Please note, anyone who sets up an account through any other method will need to notify the Crackerjackpot office if they wish to use this facility.
19. An instruction to be self-excluded, as defined in the Gambling Act 2005, from Crackerjackpot products, may be submitted in writing, emailed or telephoned through to the Crackerjackpot office. Customers wishing to use this facility will not be able to re-join the lottery for a minimum of six months from the date of exclusion. 20. Crackerjackpot has a statutory duty to verify that players are over the minimum age allowed for gambling. It is an offence for anyone under the minimum statutory age to participate in a lottery. Crackerjackpot has a minimum age of 18 and where appropriate, we will carry out checks to verify this requirement. If necessary, this includes seeking confirmation from relevant agencies. Crackerjackpot will refuse purchases from anyone under 18. Where a player is found to be under 18 after a draw entry, Crackerjackpot will refund play money, cancel any further entries and cannot legally pay out prizes.
21. Crackerjackpot is a member of The Hospice Lotteries Association, the Lotteries Council, licenced by the Gambling Commission and takes responsible gambling seriously. Apart from a mandatory levy, Crackerjackpot will provide gambling and addiction support and guidance to any player or past player. Expert advice, guidance and support is also available by visiting www.gambleaware.org which is provided for free and anonymously.
22. Complaints and disputes can be reported via the Crackerjackpot website, by email, by phone or in writing. All complaints and disputes will be dealt with in accordance with our policy, a copy of which is available from the Crackerjackpot office. In the event a dispute cannot be resolved then it will be referred to arbitration. The arbitration service used is, Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS). Please contact us first to resolve.
23. Please note that Crackerjackpot employees and their partners and persons living in their same household are not eligible to participate in Crackerjackpot.
24. Where absolutely necessary, Crackerjackpot uses partner businesses to deliver some limited services. To ensure we can provide the best service possible we may share some information with these selected partners. Where this is the case, Crackerjackpot will ensure there are strict policies, systems and guidelines around the transfer of data and this will be carried in line with data protection laws. No information whatsoever will be shared or sold on for marketing purposes.
25. The Crackerjackpot weekly draw is a combined draw with entrants supporting various charities. All entrants are pooled into one weekly draw for a joint weekly prize pot.
26. Crackerjackpot Ltd is wholly owned by Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice and run solely to fund charities. To provide economies of scale and efficient use of funds, Crackerjackpot extends its service to other selected partner charities. Where this is the case, the majority of funds is returned to the named charity the player chooses to support. Of the remaining funds, some of which goes to prizes and administration costs, and a small amount is returned to Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice to fund their charitable work. 27. Crackerjackpot reserves the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions without notice. Any material changes will be communicated to players, prior to entry into the draw.
